Experiencing Stubble is to be expected for the first few waxes after changing companies/technicians, shaving or even when it's your first time in a while.
Avoid Touching the treated area for 24-48 hours. Our hands hold a lot of germs, and between our daily routines, the germs could potentially affect our open pores. No sex is recommended!
EXFOLIATE SNOBS. Exfoliating your skin not only removes dead skin cells, but it also helps improve circulation, improves skin turnover, ensures moisturizers and serums are absorbed correctly, decreases chance of ingrown hairs, and minimizes stubble (hair left behind) Only recommended to use gloves, unless instructed otherwise.
No swimming! Meaning no pools, beaches, lakes, or rivers for 3 days after a wax. If you are traveling or planning a trip to the lake or beach, book your wax 72 hours before then. Our pores are extremely sensitive and open. Going anytime sooner could cause your skin to be put at risk.
No tight clothes or undergarments. Let your skin breath. Too much friction and irritation will cause your skin to bump up, creates ingrown hairs, and redness. So, Snobs let loose!
No tanning, sunbathing, sun beds, or spray tanning No hot showers, bubble baths, sauna, hot tubs, massages, or steam treatments.
Redness, histamine reaction, folliculitis are all common reactions to getting wax for the first few times or even when changing waxers. We highly suggest taking it easy after the service(s). Aloe vera and suggested moisturizers will be helpful to ease irritation.
Moisturize your skin! With waxing, exfoliating, hot showers, body wash ingredients, chafing, and friction from clothes we are unbeknownst to drawing moisture from the skin. It's important to max out the oil we are taking away with the oil we are pushing back into the skin. Also drinking a ton of water and staying hydrated is key!
If you have shaved, trimmed, or used any creams you must wait 2-3 weeks before booking. Ideally, your hair should be 1/4th of an inch, this is equivalent to a rice grain's length. If your hair is too short, waxing will cause skin lifting & a ton of stubble left behind.
H20 IS THE WAY TO GO!
Drink up! Water has been proven to help the hair removal process tremendously. It's important to avoid COFFEE, ALCOHOL, PRE-WORKOUT SUPPLEMENTS, and any other caffeine products before your wax. This may cause extra sensitivity and hair resistance (leading to stubble being left behind and texture) during the service.
What's a Vajacial? A vajacial is a special treatment designed to target all skin types and irritations. Our vajacials help with ingrown hairs, remove dead skin cells, smooth bumps around the bikini line, prevent acne, and help with hyperpigmentation to maintain healthy and hydrated skin in the vaginal area. Very first time? Book a "Skin-prep Vajacial" to assist with your skin before the wax and treat your skin afterward too! Meet with your esthetician and see which vajacial best suits your skin's needs.
